Where do I begin?
This question is at the heart of so many of the big projects we face in life! I’m someone who likes to know the way forward before I begin, and so often, I use this as an excuse to not get started. Procrastination is always a sign there’s something I’m avoiding. My tendency to procrastinate could be due to a lack of clarity about a project or because I don’t feel worthy of what could result from it—but that’s a topic for another post.
TODAY I’m writing about how to break down any big renovation project into approachable steps. This process is one that will lead you to make sound and lasting decisions, save you resources (money and materials), and ultimately create less waste—including waste that ends up in a landfill AND tears shed over unforeseen circumstances.
When tackling a big renovation, I like to break down the project into three core steps.
