I feel you and I hope it wasn't too horrible, whatever it was.
I can tell you that I survived a mother's worst nightmare, and while it derailed me for several years (five +/-) I eventually came out the other side. You never move on, you move through it and you find new purpose. I like to write too. Not as talented as you, but talented enough to start a new blog based on my journey. Now that has been derailed due to Alzheimers caregiving.
My heart sank when I read your line about Sunday. Sending love and thinking of you guys for the best. You are an inspiration in life, writing, style and all things design and home. ❤️❤️
Whatever happened, Kate, I'm glad to read that all is better now and that everyone is okay. ♥️
I'm also with you, Kate. I was geared up for 2024 and ready for it. But I think it's not quite ready for us...? 🤷🏻♀️ However, I'm reminding myself that there's no such thing as "perfect timing"...it's sometimes all about timing. January has been the slowest ease in to the new year that I've felt in a long while. It's reminding me that there are still things I need to tend to as well as being patient with the process.
And I've been doing the same with writing down what I accomplished each day (even if they are tiny tiny wins) as part of my 2024 personal annual plan. I thought I would abandon the notion after day two, but it has helped me stay in a forward motion and positive mindset.

I feel you. ❤️
Thank you Gray 🖤 I would love to read it when (if) you are willing to share. It is beautiful and comforting to write through hard times.
Yes it is - I kept a journal for a long time.

I'm cheering you on! Thanks for sending your email yesterday, too. Looking forward to catching up with you <3
